Virgin Money’s John Truswell resigns after 20 years

Virgin Money head of national accounts John Truswell has resigned after more than 20 years at the lender.

Truswell has not revealed where he will go next or a date when he will leave.

A Virgin Money spokesman says: “He has decided to leave. It is entirely his decision, he has been with us for 20 years, and we wish him well for the future.”

Truswell will be replaced by former Kensington head of sales and marketing Sarah Green.

A Virgin Money spokesman says Green has already joined Virgin and will be shadowing Truswell in a handover period of at least several weeks.

Before joining Virgin, Truswell was Jayman Financial Services head of financial services and a branch manager of Bradford & Bingley and Nationwide.

In February, Virgin Money director of intermediary sales Richard Tugwell resigned.
