UK Finance appoints lord


 UK Finance has appointed Lord Macpherson of Earl’s Court as a non-executive director.

Macpherson will lead on private banking in his new role.

He joins 19 other representatives on the UK Finance board, covering the retail, SME, wholesale and consumer sectors.

Macpherson is also chairman of private bank C Hoare.

UK Finance Chair Bob Wigley says: “Lord Macpherson’s appointment completes the UK Finance Board and is another significant milestone for our new association, providing representation for our members in the private banking space.”

Macpherson says: “I am pleased to be joining the board of UK Finance which has an important role to play in repositioning and representing a responsible British financial services sector.” 

UK Finance is a new financial services trade body that includes the former Council of Mortgage Lenders.
