TSB trims rates on five-year fixes

TSB-Logo-700.jpgTSB has reduced rates by up to 0.1 per cent on five-year fixes for its residential and remortgage borrowers.

But the lender has also increased rates in its two-year fixed range.

In the remortgage range, TSB has cut rates on its 60 per cent LTV five-year fix by 0.1 per cent to 2.04 per cent. This product does not include a fee.

It has also reduced the rate on its 85 per cent LTV for home purchase by 0.05 per cent to 2.29 per cent – also with no fee

At 80 per cent LTV, its five year fix for home purchase has come down from 2.09 per cent to 2.04 per cent, with a £995 fee.

However, the bank has increased rates on its 90 per cent LTV two-year fix for house purchase from 2.14 per cent to 2.34 per cent. This product includes a fee of £995.

TSB head of mortgages Nick Smith says: “We are seeing more and more of our borrowers fixing for a longer period, so these rate reductions will be very welcome for many of our borrowers.”
