Tech firm wants brokers to compete with digital mortgage companies

Technology start-up Eligible has launched and has developed a product it says lets brokers compete with digital mortgage brokers such as Dwell, Trussle and Habito.
Eligible’s platform will analyse brokers’ client data to spot when homeowners have the opportunity to re-mortgage.
It will then match the right offer with the right customer and alert them to a better deal.
Eligible’s white label platform then lets customers complete their applications online.
The platform also allows live chat, auto-population of forms and paperless applications.
The firm’s motto is “We do the robo, you do the advice”.
Eligible co-founder Rameez Zafar says: “It’s our mission to make the mortgage process fast and simple for brokers, lenders and customers alike.
“Ultimately we want to see the whole home purchasing process streamlined and our pioneering software as a service is the first step towards that.”
Mortgage lenders can also use the system.

How far will mortgage robo-advice go?

While brokers who refuse to go digital will be shunned by consumers, the most successful firms will combine technology with the best of their human skills Ever since the term was coined, ‘robo advice’ has struck fear into the hearts of traditional brokers, who dread being replaced by machines. In practice, the hybrid use of […]
