Stonebridge Group’s managing director Richard Adams has announced that he will be stepping down in July.
Adams founded Stonebridge and will remain at the firm in a non-executive capacity, situated in an advisory position.
Rob Clifford as a result of this decision will be promoted from director to chief executive.
In his new role, Clifford will lead to the management team and will be responsible for the strategy of the firm, according to Stonebridge.
Adams comments: “This feels like the right time to move into a more consultative role and allow Rob and the team to drive things forward.
“I will continue to be involved in an advisory capacity and accessible to the team and key partners.”
Clifford adds: “As he was the driving force behind Stonebridge for the past three decades, I was obviously sorry to hear from Adams that he wanted to step back, but we are all pleased he will continue as an adviser to me and the board, where we will be able to draw upon the wealth of experience and insight he has.
I am very pleased to now lead the business as its chief executive, four years after I joined its board as a director, given we have significant ambitions and projects to launch which will benefit our advisers and member firms.”
