Skipton includes ‘best buys’ in new range of 3 year fixes

Skipton has added a new range of three-year fixed rate products to its book, available only through intermediaries.

The new products are available for purchase and remortgage at LTVs ranging from 60 per cent to 90 per cent. Purchase mortgages come with free valuations, while free legal fees also apply to remortgages.

The building society says its 1.91 per cent three-year fix at 60 per cent LTV and its 2.64 per cent three-year fix to 90 per cent LTV, both with £500 cashback and no fee, will “go straight to the top of the best buy tables.”

Skipton head of products Kris Brewster says: “We’re seeing a trend of more people wanting to look at longer term fixes but the gap between the two and five year deals can be just a little bit too much for some. Offering a three-year deal bridges this a little, and gives people that extra choice and ability to lock in the current low interest rates for a little longer.”
