Scottish Widows launches online mortgage portal

Scottish Widows Bank has announced the launch of SWB Click, the company’s online portal for mortgage brokers.

This general release follows a successful pilot scheme, that took place over six months with approximately 200 advisers involved, and boasts of making the following features accessible online: registrations and re-registrations for new and existing brokers; illustrations, decisions in principle, full applications, remortgages and further advances; case tracking, complete with status updates for clients; and document uploading as soon as an application is submitted.

The firm adds that the application for product transfers has been made easier through the system, too.

Scottish Widows Bank head Gary McGregor comments: “We’re always looking for ways to develop new technology to improve our service and to make it easier for brokers to work with us.”

Meanwhile, A Mortgage Now broker Lawrence Robbin says that “SWB Click is clear, intuitive and quick,” while Financial Therapeutics account executive Orlagh McMullan adds: “the tracking feature and simplified product transfer process is saving lots of time for us and our clients.”
