Scottish Widows launches lowest-ever fixed rates

Scottish Widows has introduced its lowest-ever fixed rate loans and has added to its offset remortgage range.

The lender is now selling a two-year fixed remortgage loan at 1.29 per cent at 60 per cent LTV and a 1.44 per cent loan at 75 per cent LTV, both with a £1499 fee.

Scottish Widows Bank managing director Martin Fleming says: “Boosting our offset remortgage range with new competitive options – including our lowest-ever rate – helps demonstrate our commitment to supporting the growing number of borrrowers looking for a competitive and flexible remortgage deal.”

Scottish Widows has also brought in a two-year base rate tracker for flexible and professional mortgage products up to 75 per cent LTV with no fee.

Also, the lender has introduced large loan rates for borrowing of more than £1m, beginning at 2.19 per cent with a £1999 fee, up to 75 per cent LTV.
