Scottish Widows has appointed Jackie Leiper as distribution director.
Leiper, who is currently protection director, will take up her new role in January 2018 subject to FCA approval.
She will take over from Ronnie Taylor, who is leaving the firm.
Leiper’s new role will see her responsible for building business relationships with financial advisers, employee benefits consultants and corporate clients and leading a team of more than 350.
She will join the Group’s insurance & wealth executive committee.
Scottish Widows chief executive Antonio Lorenzo says: “We are delighted to appoint someone of Jackie’s calibre to this important role.
“I’d like to thank Ronnie for his hard work in getting the team to where it is today, including helping us achieve the honour of being named Company of the Year for service by intermediaries, and wish him every success in his future endeavours.”
