Landlord group Property 118 has launched a range of free tax tools and tutorials for landlords.

The tutorials include information on tax planning opportunities, understanding limited company incorporations and how to avoid the need to refinance when incorporating.

Property 118 has also unveiled free tutorials on tax planning around declarations of trust, and more.

Further, the group has brought in some premium tools and tutorials, such as calculators for capital gains tax and mortgage interest relief.

Property 118 founder Mark Alexander is also calling on mortgage brokers to refer their landlord clients to the tutorials.

Alexander says: “The founders of Property118 and The Landlords Union have been prolific campaigners against the restrictions on finance cost relief for individual landlords which are being phased in from April this year.

“The Landlords Union has again teamed up with their legal counsel, Mark Smith of Cotswold Barristers, to produce a suite of free tutorials answering many frequently-asked questions.

“The aim is for these to be shared and discussed with professional advisers in order to raise awareness of what can be done to mitigate the effects of the new tax regime.”

Those interested in the tutorials should register here.
