Mortgage broker John Charcol has strengthened its management team, by promoting Alan Young to chief commercial officer and appointing Tim Osmond as business development manager.
The firm said these appointments would help support its “ambitious growth strategy”.
Young joined the company in March this year as director of partnerships. Since his appointment he has signed “multiple new introducers” for the brokerage. Previously he was managing director of GoTo Mortgages.
In his new role he will continue to develop partnerships, but will also be responsible for driving new business and promoting cross-sale opportunities.
Osmond, who joins John Charcol from CMME will support Young in growing and managing relationships with existing and potential introducers. Osmond has previous worked in business development for a number of lenders including Santander, HSBC and NatWest.
Young said: “We want to build close working relationships with our partners and continue to deliver the high standard of service our mortgage experts bring to their clients. We look forward to unveiling some major new partnerships in the coming months.”
John Charcol chief executive Mark Fleet said: “Both are highly regarded and experienced professional who will add tremendous value to our client relationships. These appointments signal our intention to promote and recruit quality people who can support our ambitious development and growth strategy.”
