Nationwide is cutting rates on its fixed rate mortgage range, as well as two-year tracker rates, by up to 0.25 per cent.

The changes take place from today to Nationwide’s two-, three-, five- and ten-year fixed deals.

All mortgage valuations are now fee-free, while first time buyers can get £500 cashback to help with the cost of moving.

Nationwide Flex main current account holders who are taking out a Nationwide mortgage are also eligible for an extra £250 cashback.
