Mortgage Mole: Hoff-tackle

Mole read last week that the England rugby team have been issued with social media guidance for the forthcoming World Cup.

It covered everything you would imagine: don’t post pictures of drinking, smoking or nudity; don’t provoke opposition players or fans; and take 30 seconds to tweet a ‘Thank you’ to fans after a win or other achievements.

Clearly, London Money’s Martin Stewart had also seen the story and took it upon himself to thank his own followers on Twitter by posting a revealing picture of ‘The Hoff’ David Hasselhoff for his female followers (see right).

Maybe some of our out-of-touch sporting heroes could learn a thing or two from Stewart.

Out for the count

Talking of sporting heroes, Mole has just come across pictures from the Simply Finance charity boxing night – and boy, does it look painful.

Last month, directors Ben Larkin and Pete Williams bravely fought for glory at the Ageas Bowl event in Southampton.

Unfortunately, Larkin lost his bout on points (Mole does not know how Williams got on).

But Openwork Foundation was the real winner, with the event netting over £1,000 for a charity that supports disadvantaged children.
