Intrepid Mole, digging up the stories behind the news

God loves a tri-er

Not content with doing a normal triathlon, four bosses at My Home Move have decided to kick things up a notch.

Head of regional conveyancing Martyn Allen, head of legal practice Rob Gurney, customer journey and marketing director Mark Montgomery and group distribution director Dev Malle will be trying their hand at the Ben Nevis triathlon on 18 June. It consists of a half-marathon up and down Ben Nevis, a 25-mile bike ride and 1.5 miles canoeing.

The boys are raising money to be divided between three charities for the homeless and one that houses children with disabilities.

You can donate via their JustGiving page:

Best of luck, gentlemen.

Football crazy

Fancy an opportunity to show off your silky football skills on the big stage?

Front Events will give one lucky winner a free spot for his or her team at the inaugural FS Cup.

All they have to do is answer the following: “Who scored Manchester United’s winning goal in last month’s FA Cup final?”

The six-a-side tournament, sponsored by Positive Lending and Precise Mortgages, will take place on 6 July at the Goals Football Centre in Perry Barr, Birmingham. So get those entries in and dust off your boots.
