Mortgage Brain has appointed Peter Hill as its new chairman, taking over from Tracy Morshead who has stepped down.
The new role will see Hill work with the executive and non-executive directors on the firm’s technology proposition.
Hill left his position as chief executive at Leeds Building Society earlier this year, having spent over 17 years at the firm.
He is also currently a director at Zeppelin Consulting Limited and chair of risk at Pepper Money.
Mortgage Brain chief executive Mark Lofthouse says: “It is important that we to have a high profile, experienced and independently minded chairman to oversee business activities.
“Hill has a wealth of knowledge and experience and is highly respected in the UK mortgage and finance industry.”
Hill adds: “I am delighted to have been asked to lead the board of Mortgage Brain at such a critical time in the technology cycle. I look forward to supporting Lofthouse and his executive team in this endeavour.”
Morshead says: “The mortgage technology industry is changing rapidly; Hill is extremely well placed to drive the business forward and I wish him well in his new role.”
