Masthaven bank has made three new appointments following its launch into the residential lending market.
The bank has appointed John Smith as national account manager, first charge mortgages. Smith previously worked at Platform Home Loans and Aldermore and helped launch Bluestone into the specialist mortgage market.
Wes Baker and David Owen have also joined the firm as business development managers. Baker has worked in the financial services industry for 12 years, including roles at Welcome Finance and Evolution Money, while Owen has been in the sector for more than 16 years and has spent time with NatWest, Leeds Building Society and Together.
Masthaven was authorised as a retail bank just over a year ago and entered the residential mortgage market at the end of June this year, with a focus on lending to customers with complex requirements.
Former Bluestone managing director of Bluestone took on the MD role at Masthaven earlier this year.
Of the new appointments he says: “As the bank continues to expand and develop its proposition, we are also working hard to build the right team with the best skills in place to take the business forward. With their collective experience of many years in the industry, they bring new energy to the bank; and the team is really looking forward to working with them”.
