Leek United Building Society has increased its lending limit by £100,000 on higher LTV mortgages.
The building society will now lend up to £400,000 at 95 per cent LTV, with immediate effect. Previously this stood at £300,000.
This higher limit will now also apply to mortgages with a maximum 90 per cent LTV.
Leek has also increased the maximum lending limits from £400,000 to £500,000 for those borrowing at 80 per cent LTV. Leek United’s head of mortgage sales Clare Beardmore says that this follows the recent decision by the building society to double its offer period to six months
The society says it will consider lending limits of more than £500,000 for loans up to 75 per cent LTV.
