Knowledge Bank adds affordability calculators

Knowledge Bank has included affordability calculators for lenders registered on its system.

The firm, which launched three weeks ago, offers a criteria search system for mortgages.

The new affordability calculators aim to save brokers time by assessing which lenders cater for their clients’ circumstances.

Knowledge Bank says the number of lenders on its system has increased 25 per cent since its launch, with 54 lenders signed up already. A further 40 have registered but are yet to upload their criteria.

Some 22,000 different criteria are now held within the database across 480 different categories and various mortgage types. The number of criteria has risen by more than 4,000 over the past three weeks as lenders add their details.

Knowledge Bank chief executive Nicola Firth says: “Uploading affordability calculators so they’re all in one place is just another step to give brokers more time to see more clients.

“It’s incredible to see how popular Knowledge Bank already is with both brokers and lenders. To have increased lender numbers by 25 per cent in three weeks is beyond what we ever imagined.”
