Positive Lending non-executive chairman John Malone has stepped down after a year in the role.

Malone will continue to be chairman of Front Events, which organises the Financial Services Expo.

Positive Lending managing director Paul McGonigle says: “Having John Malone as our non-exec chairman for a year has been a huge benefit to us as a company. As well as his financial services knowledge, John is extremely well connected and has kindly opened many doors for Positive.

“John’s understanding of the market and his appreciation of regulatory compliance has helped us towards achieving our long term strategic goals.”

Malone says: “I have very much enjoyed my year on the board of Positive Lending. During this year the market has changed significantly with the Mortgage Credit Directive and I am pleased that I have been able to help guide them through the new regulatory landscape.

“I wish Positive well for the future and I am sure they will continue to grow and prosper.”
