Equity release adviser Age Partnership has appointed mortgage industry veteran John Malone as an ambassador.
Malone will develop the firm’s proposition and give advice to the firm’s mortgage arm, which it launched last year.
Age Partnership chief executive Tim Loy says: “We are delighted to welcome John to our team, it is fantastic to have someone of his stature on board.”
Malone says: “I was delighted to accept the position of ambassador and join a business that puts their customers at the heart of everything they do.
“I’m thoroughly looking forward to taking up the new position and working with the rest of the Partnership team to grow the department and help Age Partnership to further expand the market, which firmly looks set to fulfil its huge potential.”
Malone is also currently chairman of Front Events, which organises the Financial Services Expo.
He started working in financial services in 1960, and his career includes setting up mortgage club PMS in 1996.
