Vitality partners with Welsh Rugby Union to boost awareness

Health and life insurer Vitality has signed a two-year deal with the Welsh Rugby Union to make it its wellness partner.

As a result of the partnership, Vitality members will get the opportunity to win signed merchandise, matchday tickets and the chance to meet the players.

Beginning with the opening match of the 2015 Six Nations tournament, the Wales team’s medical staff will also wear Vitality branded clothing.

Vitality chief executive Neville Koopowitz says: “We believe in the power of sport to help inspire people to live a healthy life, which is why we partner with leading sports organisations, teams and athletes to help us spread the Vitality message.

“Our partnership with the Welsh Rugby Union is the latest move in our goal of changing the game when it comes to people’s health.”

Until last month, Vitality was offered in the UK under the PruProtect branding, before the Prudential Group sold its 25 per cent stake in the business to Discovery Group Europe in a £155m deal.
