Precise in new-build push with creation of dedicated mortgage desk

Precise Mortgages is set to create a new-build mortgage desk as it aims to boost its presence in that area of the market.

Mortgage Strategy revealed in March that the lender planned to create a dedicated new-build desk. The lender says it is also planning a number of new-build product developments, although it has not said what they are yet.

Precise sales director Roger Morris says: “We have a lot of product developments lined up as we continue to build our specialist lending proposition.”

The news comes as the lender announced the capture of Kevin Beale. The former Santander BDM is tasked with building new-build volumes.

Precise has also hired Sundeep Patel from Royal Bank of Scotland, where he was a business development manager. Patel is tasked with growing residential and buy-to-let business primarily in the South.

Speaking about the two hires, Morris says: “Both Kevin and Sundeep are seasoned professionals and will help the team deliver the best possible service to our intermediaries.”

Mortgage Mole: Down the pan

Down the pan Overall, Mole thinks housing minister Brandon Lewis is a fairly decent chap who has not spouted the claptrap that some of his predecessors did. Being housing minister is not an easy job, either, given the relative power of the role and the mammoth number of hurdles in the way of housebuilding. So […]
