Shawbrook sets up fast-track bridging team

Shawbrook Bank has launched a short term lending team, which will exclusively manage those deals that require a fast turnaround.

The new team will be made up of three lending managers and a lending officer and has been formed after an increase in demand for short-term loans.

As Shawbrook looks to bring more bridging products to the market, the growth will be supported by the new team who will be able to take each deal from enquiry through to completion.

Shawbrook managing director of commercial mortgages Stephen Johnson says: “Time is of the essence when it comes to bridging and brokers need a lender who is responsive and can get deals turned around within a day. We’re excited about expanding capabilities in this fast-moving market.”

Vantage Finance is a broker partner to Shawbrook and director Lucy Hodge feels that the new short-term lending team will provide the bank with a competitive advantage.

Hodge says: “In the fast-paced world of short-term loans a dedicated process is important and this team will help streamline it further.”
