Yorkshire and Clydesdale offer fees discounts

Yorkshire Bank and Clydesdale Bank are offering 50% discounts on both arrangement fees and contents insurance to coincide with the launch of a new mortgage range.

The lenders are offering 50% off mortgage arrangement fees for new customers moving home or remortgaging on a range of mortgages.

The £499 arrangement fee, which is with the discount applied, is available on products including a two-year discounted SVR offset deal at 2.79% and a two-year fixed rate deal at 3.69%, both at up to 65% LTV.

There is also a two-year fixed rate deal at 5.99% at up to 90% LTV and a five-year fixed rate deal at up to 85% LTV at 6.49%.

Yorkshire and Clydesdale Banks have also launched a discount on contents insurance.

New and existing customers can get a 50% discount on contents insurance when taking out buildings cover, making an average saving of £80.

Steve Reid, retail director of Clydesdale Bank, says: “Customers are always looking for good service at a good price: these discounts, particularly when combined with our new mortgage range deliver that.

“Someone switching their mortgage and home insurance to us at Clydesdale or Yorkshire Bank could benefit from discounts worth around £600.”

The discounts are available through Yorkshire and Clydesdale Bank branches or online.
