Budget 2012: What planet is chancellor living on, asks Miliband

The Labour Party leader has slammed chancellor George Osborne’s Budget statement, claiming that his plan to help Britain grow has failed.

Miliband asked “what planet the chancellor and prime minister are living on” as he highlighted a number of ’failures’ by the chancellor.

He says: “The driving ambition for the chancellor was a tax cut for people earning over £150,000 per year.”

The Labour leader says of the 30 million tax payers in the UK, the Budget would not help 29,700,00 of them.

Describing it as a “Millionaire’s Budget”, Miliband says that the Budget was the “end of ’we’re all in this together’”.

    I am not a Tory lover but I certainly think that for as long as Ed Balls and Ed Milliband are the Shadow Chancellor and Leader of Opposition George and Dave are safe!

    Neither Milliband nor Balls have got anything new or constructive to offer and as such they are an annoyance rather than a credible threat at the next election.

    What would be nice is that every now and then they come out with something innovative and inspiring!
