Virgin Money reduces rates by up to 0.16%

Virgin Money has reduced the interest rates on a number of its fixed rate mortgage products by up to 0.16%.

The new range, which features residential products for both purchase and remortgage customers, is available from today.

It has reduced its two-year fixed remortgage rate at 70% LTV from 3.55% to 3.45%, as well as its three-year fix remortgage rate at 70% from 3.85% to 3.69%, as well as making a number of other rate changes.

Virgin Money also continues to offer its cashback incentive on a number of purchase products. For customers remortgaging from another lender, free standard legal services and a free basic valuation are also available for residential customers.



First-time buyer loans down 48% in April

The number of first-time buyer loans dropped by 48% in April, compared to March, as a result of the Stamp Duty concession coming to an end.
