Montello rebrands to signal bridging move

London-based real estate bridging financier Montello Private Finance will from today be branded as Montello Bridging Finance.

Montello says the new name reflects the fact that it is purely bridging finance, short term principal lenders.

The rebranding also coincides with the launch of a new web presence for Montello.

When Montello launched in the UK almost three years ago, it made use of the ‘private finance’ tag-line as it was using funding lines provided by private investors.

Ian Sutherland, managing director at Montello, says that the original name reflected the way in which we were funding its deals – through high net worth investors bespoke basis”.

Christian Faes, managing director at Montello, says: “With the successful launch of our Montello Income Fund at the start of last year, the business has evolved, and we now have our own capital to lend.

“The change in name also confirms our commitment to the ‘short-term’ market. As other lenders move towards becoming ‘medium-term’ lenders, we are committed to serving the needs of bridging finance borrowers.”
