United Trust hires solicitor to develop bridging team

United Trust Bank has brought in banking lawyer William Gould to develop the bank’s bridging team and in particular its complex structured loans service.

Prior to joining UTB, Gould worked for law firm Eversheds LLP where he spent time seconded to the commercial banking division of HSBC.

Gould has worked across real estate finance and corporate lending sectors, as well as working on offshore structures and transactions.

UTB head of bridging Alan Margolis says: “We’re anticipating developing our short term business further next year and William’s skills should increase the bank’s capabilities to complete even more complex structured loan proposals.

“It’s important that as we expand our business we continue to hire experienced professionals and William brings additional experience and enthusiasm which will benefit the team, our broker partners and our borrowers.”
