Mortgage broker turns footballer

Former London and Country broker Tyrone Mings has signed an 18-month contract with Ipswich Town football club.

Mings started at the London and Country academy earlier this year before graduating as a qualified mortgage broker.

He was offered a contract with Ipswich Town whilst playing for Southern League Premier Division club Chippenham Town, according to the BBC

The BBC adds the 19-year-old can play in either central defence or at left-back.

London and Country head of communication David Hollingworth says: “Everyone here wishes Tyrone all the very best in making the exciting step up to professional football and hope that his career goes from strength to strength at Ipswich.  The move from Base rate trackers to ‘tracking back’ will be closely followed by everyone here at L&C I’m sure.”
