Paaleads.com, Moneysupermarket.com’s broker arm which sells online advice queries to brokers, says it will be unaffected by the tie-up.
L&C has been taking surplus telephone calls on behalf of the comparison website since the end of last year when Moneysupermarket.com’s in-house advisers cannot cope with call volumes.
The comparison website has now decided to integrate its small team of advisers into the other parts of the business and transfer all telephone enquiries to L&C.
Dean Jones, head of Paaleads.com, says: “The decision makes commercial sense for us. The adviser team will remain in place to deal with pipeline business over the next 30 days, and all lenders have been told.
“Nothing is changing with Paaleads.com.”
A spokesman for L&C says: “The main relationship we have is with Moneysupermarket.com, we are their advice partner. We will be gradually taking on all the enquiries from Moneysupermarket.com, but the split with the way it generates its leads still remains. We are not taking leads from Paaleads.com.”
