Connells appoints ex-Countrywide director

John Williams has joined the Connells Group as corporate development director, after 19 years of working with Countrywide.

Williams’ responsibilities will include developing relationships with corporate customers and expanding business-to-business services for new and existing clients.

He will also be advising on tender submissions and project managing mortgage services initiatives.

Williams will also join the Connells mortgage services board of directors, and will work closely with senior management firm from across the Connells group.

Prior to joining Connells Williams led the mortgage services and corporate development divisions at Countrywide as the company’s director of corporate business.

He says: “I am delighted to be joining the executive team at Connells, not least because of the significant opportunity we have to build upon an already strong presence in the corporate services market,”says John. “I look forward to working with both lenders and corporate clients on behalf of the Connells Group and building our business-to-business operation.”

David Livesey, group chief executive at Connells Group, says: “I am pleased to welcome John Williams to Connells and know that he will be central to extending our corporate portfolio.”
