Take Pole position at battle of the scousers

Fancy being part of the great Liverpool FC comeback? After a slow start to the season the Reds are clearly waiting for one of the most important games of the campaign to strut their stuff – the Merseyside derby on September 27 – and you could be there to see it.

Two seats at Everton FC’s Goodison Park ground are being auctioned to support a race by Adrian Wells, brother of mortgage PR guru Julian Wells, to the North Pole for charity Youth Sport Trust . Bids start at £100.

The auction is part of a drive to raise £20,000 to fund a trip culminating in the race in March. Wells also wants corporate sponsorship and will drop a sponsor’s flag at the Pole.

So if you’re a red and want to see Stevie G and the boys show Everton who’s boss or a blue who likes losing, dig deep and bid by emailing robyn.hall@centaur.co.uk.
