New head of mortgages at Moneysupermarket.com

Kevin Mountford is head of mortgages at moneysupermarket.com having replaced John Myers.

Mountford has been head of savings and current accounts at the price comparison site for the past 18 months and, following the success of these channels, he now adds mortgages to his portfolio.

Mountford has worked in financial services for over 18 years and has occupied senior roles Halifax, Bank of Scotland and Birmingham Midshires, where he was head of sales and marketing for its savings business.

Mountford says: “Clearly it has been and remains a difficult period for the mortgage industry but I am confident moneysupermarket.com will be well positioned to take advantage of any upturn in the market.

“We offer flexibility to customers and providers with business driven through click, call or lead.”
