The Yorkshire says it plans to open 15 new branches across the UK creating around 100 new jobs.
The society says it’s in the throes of deciding on the locations of the new branches, which will be opened on a rolling basis from the summer of this year.
It aims to open all the branches within the next three years.
Ian Cornish, chief executive of the Yorkshire, says: “We have completed a review of all our sales channels and at the same time as planning a major internet development programme we have identified the need to add to our branch network.
“We opened out first new branch in a number of years at Stockton in the North East in March 2005.
“The branch has performed so well it has shown us that with the commitment of an enthusiastic team of staff, the right location, and, of course, the right products, a new branch can be extremely successful.”
