Only fair to praise service at Alliance and Leicester

From Andrew Botte

I’m the first to shout about a lender when service is poor so I think it only fair to praise occasionally.

Alliance & Leicester has impressed me. I put a case into it on December 19 and had a mortgage offer by December 26. In the meantime I spoke with the mortgage centre at Wigan and had a concise conversation with an underwriter who dealt with my queries swiftly. It seems that A&L has moved on. It’s not all positive though – get rid of those 0870 numbers for Wigan and for your fax lines please.

On another positive note – for all brokers fed up with Paymentshield and looking for a competitive, honourable insurer with good service try Centrepoint Insurance on 01543 418292.
