Dudgeon returns to the mortgage marketplace

Bill Dudgeon, ex-managing director of DB Mortgages, is returning to the mortgage market in the new year to head up lending services at IFA network Virtual Net Europe.

Dudgeon will spearhead the firm’s mortgage proposition and is looking to recruit around 200 brokers in the next three years.

Dudgeon considered a number of networks before settling on Virtual Net Europe.

He says: “It is a good proposition which has been built around its technology.

“I am looking forward to meeting existing members as well as working with new ones.”

Dudgeon was made redundant by failed lender DB Mortgages in January after joining in 2005 as part of an exodus from The Mortgage Business. He was managing di-rector of TMB for five years.
