CMD and TMA to work together

November sees the launch of the working relationship between Commercial Mortgage Desk and The Mortgage Alliance.

Loman ONeill, head of operations at CMD, says: We are delighted to be working alongside TMA and be part of its proposition. In todays market it is vital to be able to provide brokers with a service supporting all areas of their business.

Whilst brokers may not come across commercial mortgages everyday they need to know that when they do they have a specialist they can call.

As well as providing brokers with access to the residential mortgage lenders, TMAs proposition now includes access to a variety of specialist services including commercial mortgages, lead generation and conveyancing.

Steve Atkins, head of TMA, says: Over the past few months we have noticed an upturn in commercial enquiries from out members and felt that it was important to work with a commercial packager that offers a service that is as independent as our brokers. CMD offers the broker specialist independent guidance in this complicated market. The feedback we have had from our members so far has been positive.

ONeill adds: Due to the nature of the commercial sector many brokers either shy away from it or try using high street lenders to place the deal. This doesnt always provide the most suitable solution and many brokers are losing the deal. At CMD we offer brokers a choice of engagement depending on whichever best suits their needs.

Brokers can either deal with the client without any direct involvement from CMD, in effect using us to solely package the case. Alternatively, we can liaise directly with the client to help them navigate the minefield that is commercial mortgages.
