UNIFi opens portal to lender partners

UNIFi Partners has thrown open the doors of its unsecured web portal to its lender partners.

The unsecured portal has been available for use by its broker members, but UNIFi will now accept applications through lenders that have declined loans to customers, but would still like to find applicants a product.

UNIFi launched the portal last year and now has five lenders on its panel – Halifax, Citi Financial, Black Horse Finance, Everyday Loans and Welcome Finance.

UNIFi can work with affinity partners to find customers unsecured loans from its panel of lenders.

Affinity partners benefit by providing customers with a suitable product, maintaining the relationship and receiving an introducer’s fee following completion.

With the recent addition of Halifax to the lender panel, UNIFi’s unsecured portal is able to offer loan solutions for all client types from prime to sub-prime.

Patrick Bamford, managing director of UNIFi, says: “We now have a robust system with five unsecured lenders on board allowing us to roll out the portal to potential affinity partners.

“We believe the system will be of interest and benefit to those small to mid-sized lenders, particularly building societies, that may be declining a number of personal loan customers because they do not meet their criteria.”

He adds: “With current market conditions as they are, the personal loan market should not be overlooked and we believe the UNIFi portal will provide a strong online solution for many lenders.”
