FOS announces events for intermediaries

The Financial Services Authority will regulate mortgage intermediaries from the end of October this year, and insurance intermediaries from January 14 2005. From the same dates, these firms will be covered, by law, by the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Each event begins at 10.50am. There will be a presentation at 11.00am (lasting approximately 50 minutes), followed by an informal question and answer session. There&#39s no need to book – intermediaries can just turn up on the day at the venue that is most convenient for them.

The dates are as follows:

October 5 – Peterborough Moat House

October 12 – Durham Hall Garth Golf & Country Club

October 20 – Cumbria Lakes Court Hotel, Carlisle

October 27 – Plymouth Hoe Moat House

November 3 – Edinburgh Apex European Hotel

November 10 – Gloucester Holiday Inn

November 16 – Britannia Coventry Hotel

November 24 – Croydon Park Hotel

December 1 – Chester, The Queen Hotel

December 8 – Sheffield Marriott Hotel

December 15 – Oxford, The Randolph Hotel
