Cartel starts PR wing

In readiness for this October&#39s impending Mortgage Day and all the changes in the financial industry that entails, Cartel decided earlier this year to push strongly into the avenues of advertising, public relations and marketing.

Marie Giovanni, 30, has been tasked with heading up Cartel&#39s marketing initiative.

She says: “We are all very proud of the company&#39s organic growth and the success it has built purely by word of mouth. But this year, with the build-up to the FSA&#39s compliance deadline and the impending Mortgage Day on October 31st, we face fiercer competition than ever before, and Cartel has decided that it is time to be seen and heard.”

Giovanni&#39s main task in heading up the newly formed marketing and PR department is to build a public profile for Cartel that befits its size and status in the industry.

She adds: “marketing for us is as much about attracting the highest possible calibre of professionals to our growing team as it is about building our customer base. We embarked on a national recruitment campaign at the start of the year in order to accommodate the increase in business and this is set to continue throughout 2005.”

Giovanni previously worked as a senior recruitment consultant, a management consultancy director and having founded and directed her own personal lifestyle company, has already been responsible for implementing entire marketing strategies for a range of different businesses.

Carl Wright, founder and managing director of Cartel, says: “Thanks to some of the great publicity and advertising we are starting to achieve, this company is now building its reputation as being an established, stable and strong contender.”
