Ben Thompson, director of mortgages at L&G, says: “Direct channels are trying to wrestle clients away from brokers and we want to offer advisers a chance to fight back.
“Our aim is to let advisers have a bigger say in their clients’ welfare and give them the opportunity to provide a broader service. We want intermediaries to realise they don’t have to play second fiddle to direct providers.”

From today, sellers must have certain HIP documents in place before they can market their properties.
