L&G unveils HIP service for DA club members

Legal & General has launched a Home Information Pack service for directly authorised members of its mortgage club.

Ben Thompson, director of mortgages at L&G, says: “Direct channels are trying to wrestle clients away from brokers and we want to offer advisers a chance to fight back.

“Our aim is to let advisers have a bigger say in their clients’ welfare and give them the opportunity to provide a broader service. We want intermediaries to realise they don’t have to play second fiddle to direct providers.”

L&G’s HIP panel comprises My Home Information Pack, Live, my-salepackplc and Ehips.

From today, sellers must have certain HIP documents in place before they can market their properties.
