Malone hires Atkins as successor

Steve Atkins has been appointed as head of Premier Mortgage Service with the view to eventually take over as John Malones successor.

Atkins has for the last three years held the position of head of The Mortgage Alliance, part of the Abbey Group, and brings with him more than 15 years experience in the mortgage market.

Following the process of search and selection, PMS says it is confident that the right candidate has been chosen for the role.

As head of Premier Mortgage Service, Atkins will initially take over management of field mortgage sales, with control of the office in Birmingham remaining under the management of Lisa Martin.

He will also work very closely with managing director John Malone.

Malone says: I am delighted we have found someone of Steves calibre to work along side me in taking PMS forward.

I look forward to working closely with Steve in the months and years ahead and am confident that the experience Steve brings with him will be of great benefit to our business and our clients.

Peter Mann, chief executive at Bankhall, adds: I would like to congratulate Steve on his new appointment to this key role.

Working alongside each other John and Steve will collectively build on the award winning service offered by the exceptional team at PMS.
