GMAC-RFC launches award for packager partners

GMAC-RFC Partners is launching a marketing award for its packager partners with the first prize of a meal at a top restaurant.

The award has been designed to give GMAC-RFC partners the opportunity to show off their marketing skills and go the extra mile to market Partner products.

Helen James, senior packaging executive at GMAC-RFC, says: “As this product range is being taken to market by our partners and not us, their marketing campaigns are vital to the success of the range and this quarterly award is designed to recognise this.”

The winning marketing team will have to show innovation, creativity, and quality and ease-of-use of marketing materials. In addition, the advertisement will need to be fully compliant with the Treating Customers Fairly initiative and promote fair and responsible lending.

James adds: “This is a great opportunity for our partners’ marketing staff to receive a prestigious award from a top 10 lender, coverage in the trade press and recognition that we value their support.”

To enter, contestants need to send examples of their marketing material or latest campaign used to promote the Partner range by July 10. Entries will be judged by a panel with the winner being announced by July 19.

Simon Snape, head of products and marketing at The Finance Centre, says: “We do a lot of dual marketing and work in partnership with all our lenders, and I think this is a good idea to encourage compliant advertisements in a controlled environment.”
