Freehold adds Commercial First to lending panel

Freehold, the packaging association for regional packagers and mortgage distributors, has added Commercial First to its lending panel.

Freehold is working with a small number of lenders that share a common goal of quality business and origination.

Freehold, aiming to have 25 members this year, has recently been joined by JFS Nationwide Homeloans, to bring the number up to 19 members.

Commercial First, a market leader in sub-prime and near prime commercial mortgages, has offered packaging facilities to all Freehold members.

Paul Brett, spokesman for Freehold, says: Commercial First has been at the forefront of bringing commercial mortgages to a wider intermediary audience and have identified the packager market as an important conduit.

At Freehold, we have the infrastructure and geographical spread to give Commercial First the coverage they are looking for.

Stephen Johnson, sales and marketing director at Commercial First, adds: Freehold is an organisation whose core principle is the generation of quality packaged business, something which is very important to us and our intermediary partners.

We are very excited to be working with Freehold and seeing the positive effect of this relationship to its members.
