The Saffron Walden Herts & Essex has appointed Andy Golding as its sales and marketing director.
Golding has responsibility for the sales and business development areas of the society together with picking up day-to-day responsibility for its marketing and product development.

“Firstly, as a regional mutual society which operates for the benefit of our members we have many advantages over larger institutions in terms of the personal service that we can offer.”
“Secondly, the company has an excellent branch network supported by a highly dedicated team of staff.
“It will be my overall aim to ensure the company build still further on these assets to ensure members receive the highest levels of customer service. In turn I am confident this will generate more revenue for the society, and thus bring added benefit to members in terms of more competitive rates and products.”
Golding, who has a strong background in sales and service management, joins the society from Bradford & Bingley where he was head of financial services training and development. Prior to that he worked for John Charcol where he was instrumental in building up the business prior to its sale to Bradford & Bingley.
He also has a sound knowledge of the society's catchment areas, having been a regional director covering this and a number of other related areas for NatWest Mortgage Services.
