Assertahome.com to power Yahoo! property channel

Assertahome.com has signed a deal with Yahoo! UK & Ireland to supply the internet giant&#39s property search capability on an exclusive basis.

Users searching the property channel on Yahoo! will view UK listings of property for sale or rent, new build and second hand homes as powered by assertahome.com.

It will also be able to find and get in touch with assertahome.com&#39s member estate agents.

The new Yahoo! property channel, yahoo.co.uk/property, will offer assertahome.com&#39s listings of up to 100,000 properties from around 2,000 agents and will be co-branded with an overall Yahoo! look and feel. The site will include property news and expert editorial on buying property and selecting mortgages and solicitors. The deal will also extend across BTYahoo!.

Jim Buckle, managing director of assertahome.com, says: “The internet is the undisputed first port of call for people searching for property. 79% of househunters expect to find their ideal home on the internet. What&#39s more 75% of those with property to sell would choose an agent whose properties are marketed online.

“Through the deal with Yahoo! UK & Ireland, assertahome.com is at the forefront in providing the essential services that Yahoo!&#39s online home buyers and sellers require, enabling them to click through to the property or agent of their choice.”
