Alexander Hall offers telephone broking in Surrey

Alexander Hall is offering telephone broking in Surrey as part of a pilot virtual estate agency scheme set up last week by parent company Foxtons.

Three brokers based at the company&#39s Chiswick office will take calls from customers looking to purchase properties from Foxtons&#39 catalogue of properties in the Surrey area.

Clients look on Foxtons&#39 website or through the local press for homes and then contact a central call centre from which estate agents are dispatched in branded Minis to take the clients to view properties.

While Foxtons says it has no plans to expand nationally, Alexander Hall says it could take its telephone service wherever it wanted in the country.

Andy Pratt, chief operating officer at Alexander Hall, says: “Once you&#39re in a telephone-style operation you can grow a lot quicker as you can operate without the physical constraints of opening a new office.”
