Reasons for nomination: I only met Faye recently but I am impressed with her and her work. I met her at an industry event, outlined the details of a case and she explained how Heritable Bank could lend on a semi-commercial basis on a hair salon with a buy-to-let self-contained flat above.
Returning to the office the next day, I found an email from Faye and everything was agreed in a few days. She also managed to get me a rate of just over half what I had been quoted on a deal that was about to go through. My clients are regular investors and were happy with the previous price but when I told them it would be even less they were impressed. Faye is efficient and always contactable.

I find this aspect of the job highly rewarding.
I also feel that a lot of credit should go to our team of un-derwriters. They have a flexible lending approach and aim to provide solutions on every occasion. To be a successful BDM it is of paramount importance that you have an understanding not only of your products and market but also of your brokers’ business ethos and how they work. This understanding is something that I am constantly striving to improve.
