New unemployment safety net insurance product launched

Insurance product WorkProtect has been launched aiming to protect workers and their spouse or partner in the unfortunate event they are made unemployed.

Offering a comprehensive package of tools and services, its aimed at helping people get back into work as quickly as possible.

Designed as an alternative to traditional loan and mortgage protection policies. WorkProtect has been developed as a result of extensive research identifying the key factors necessary toaccelerate return to work.

Mike Ison at WorkProtect says: “Facing redundancy and unemployment is extremely stressful, causing both financial and personal uncertainty. With the saying &#39a job for life&#39 no longer relevant in today&#39s workplace, we believe that WorkProtect will give workers valuable peace of mind relating to their future.”

The plan costs £68 per annum, covering the policyholder and their spouse or partner, and can be bought online at www.workprotect.co.uk.

Ison adds: “For the cost of less than 19p a day, workers can ensure they have all the necessary resources, help, advice and support in place that should they lose their job, they can quickly get back to work.”
