Buildstore teams up with Drummond Miller for LegalLink

Self build and renovation specialist Buildstore has teamed up with law firm Drummond Miller, to present LegalLink, a specialist service for self builders.

LegalLink is made up of a dedicated team who specialise in the self build market.

They can offer support throughout the self build process which can be more complex than buying a pre-built home. The service includes legal advice on land purchase, the planning application process and provides a steer on building requirements. They also offer conveyancing and estate agency services towards the latter stages of the build.

Richard Gardner, chairman for Drummond Miller, says: “Buildstore has helped thousands of people to build their own homes and its team specialises in this area so there is a natural fit between the two businesses. Jointly, we have the experience to understand the various issues facing self builders.”

Raymond Connor, founder and managing director of Buildstore, says: “Drummond Miller has an excellent reputation in the self build field so it made sense to combine the two company&#39s areas of expertise to offer a great additional service to self builders.

Experience has shown that the issues surrounding the purchase of land were often the most difficult for self builders &#45 with specialist advice extremely difficult to find. Through LegalLink, the process will be made much simpler and more people can progress to self build successfully.”
